An active learning strategy is an in-class activity that engages learners in deep thinking about your course topic, both face-to-face and online.

It is an active way of learning for students and a strategy for engaging in their learning through thinking, discussing, researching, and creating.

In class, students practice skills, solve problems, wrestle with complex questions, make decisions, propose solutions, and explain ideas in their own words through writing and discussion.
